About

I’m Sophie, a first year Journalism student at the University of Sunderland. I am studying for a BA Honours degree as well as the NCTJ diploma. I have keen interests in all areas of journalism, but my particular favourites are radio, print and online journalism.

Previous to this course, I was a social work student at the same university. I would like to share my journey with you all from becoming a first year student to graduation and beyond.

I started this blog to originally give advice to students wanting to study at university, specifically relating to Social Work. But in 2014, I took a new approach and decided to blog about my journey throughout university. I also blog about politics, mental health (and my own experiences of it) and being a carer (my experience) and many more.

Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog, visit my contact page or follow me on social media!
